PlusTek v100

Despite how lazy this thing might make you look, it actually has some plausibly useful effects. Utilizing a highly accurate OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature and an auto document orientation process to scan text and then convert it into speech using lifelike voices. You can even convert the text to MP3 for on the go styles. Could be cool for school and such as teachers could give out homework or assigned reading on thumb drives, etc. No info on this but I suspect the v100 must have a aux out of a headphone jack for immediate listening. What would be annoying is scanning each page individually as it looks like it doesn’t have collating tray or feeder. Designed with the sight impaired in mind additional features include:

  • Magnifying functions
  • Font controls
  • Volume controls
  • Speech controls
  • Bookmark functions
  • PDF reading
